NOTE: I created the pencil sketch included in the banner at the top of this Home page as an assignment for an art class taught by Miss Pearl Bartruff (remember her?) in 1957. As a lesson in drawing perspective, we were told to go outside and sketch a part of the BHS building. This sketch showed a corner entrance facing Cornwall Avenue. The BHS building was extensively remodeled in the late 1990s. This BHS building picture was taken at the BHS re-opening ceremonies in August 2000. The crowd was so big that part of it overflowed outside. Look closely; you may see some people you recognize! (See three other pictures taken at that ceremony at the bottom of page 2 of the "2002 45th Reunion Memories" section.) Does anyone remember the name of the astronaut (a BHS grad, younger than us) who had spoken to the group there? If so, please email that info to me for adding here. Thanks, Marilyn |
