ABOUT THIS SECTION
Our 50th Reunion, held in early August 2007, was our LAST "big" reunion. However, there will be some "mini-reunions" upcoming. For example, our class is involved in the annual "Three-Class Alumni Reunion Picnics" held in 2007, 2008, and 2009. This section will provide information (and later photos) regarding our involvement in the Alumni Reunion Picnics. (If other mini-reunions are planned for us in the future, another new section will be created later with that info.)
THE THREE-CLASS ALUMNI REUNION PICNICS
These Alumni picnics (usually held for three BHS classes, but in 2007, four classes were invited) have been going on for many years. In 2007, OUR Class of 1957 was involved for the first time. This is because the "honored" class is the one having their 50th Class Reunion that year.
It works like this:
In 2007: Picnic hosted by BHS-56 for Class of 1957 (for classes: 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957)
In 2008: Picnic hosted by BHS-57 for Class of 1958 (attending classes: 1956, 1957, 1958)
In 2009: Picnic hosted by BHS-58 for Class of 1959 (attending classes: 1957, 1958, 1959)
So, for three years in a row (2007, 2008, and 2009) you can attend the Alumni picnics and visit with people (perhaps even siblings) that you've known from other BHS classes during your three high school years. (Mark your calendars now.)
PLAN TO ATTEND IN SUMMER 2008
It is particularly important that BHS-57 classmates attend the upcoming 2008 Alumni Reunion Picnic because OUR CLASS is hosting it in honor of the Class of 1958's 50th Reunion.
"Hosting" it means that we must do the planning for it, arrange for the catering, make the registration forms, get registrations from BHS-57 classmates who can attend the picnic, and coordinate with the other two BHS Classes that also will be attending that picnic to be sure their registration forms (handled by their own class's Alumni Picnic Chairman) are back to us in time.
One other thing - "hosting" it does NOT mean that we pay for the food that the Class of 1958 eats; they will pay for themselves - just as WE did for our involvement in the picnic in 2007 when our class was honored this way.
You may recall that the 2007 picnic caterers set a mid-July 2007 deadline for their needed "head count" - so we must start the planning of this event in early 2008.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE SUMMER 2008 PICNIC
This info will be provided later. Here's an idea: Due to the short time to plan and get BHS-57 classmates registered for this Alumni Reunion Picnic, it is possible that the BHS-57's Picnic Registration form will be available only as a downloadable PDF file to those who have Internet access - and that paper forms will be mailed only to those who do NOT have Internet access. (That savings of paper, printing, and postage should help keep the 2008 picnic costs down.)

When pictures of the 2007 picnic are available, those will be put in this section as well. My current plan is that (new) pages 2, 3, and 4 of this section will have photos from the 2007, 2008, and 2009 picnics, respectively. That leaves this page 1 for more planning/registration info about the 2008 picnic and a list of registered BHS-57 classmates.
