ABOUT THIS SECTION
This section allows BHS-57 classmates to display up to nine scenic photos they've personally taken; if more than nine photos are submitted, the Webmaster will select up to nine to display. (See "HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS" below.)

Each participating classmate has a "Thumbnails" page in this Scenic Snapshots section. From that page, a thumbnail is clicked to view its enlarged photo in a pop-up page.

To return here (to THIS page), click the INFO button located in the Thumbnails page's header.

That button (located on each clasmate's Thumbnails page) looks like this:
Scenic snapshots- INFO

Each Thumbnails page also has a Next Thums text link which takes you to the next classmate's Thumbnails page. Press that link again if you want to quickly view all classmates' thumbnails without viewing any photo enlargements. (The "Next Thums" text link on the last classmate's Thumbnails page takes you back to the first classmate's Thumbnails page. To get out of that loop and return here, remember to click the INFO button in the page header.)

Quick links to the four items below on this "general information" page are given here:

  4. How to Submit Your Photos

1. LINKS TO CLASSMATES' THUMBNAIL PAGES
The classmates listed below are currently sharing their scenic photos. Click any name below to start viewing that classmate's Thumbnails page (and the pop-up enlargements, as you wish). After that, use the convenient "Next Thums" text link on each classmate's Thumbnails page to see the next classmate's photos. (Each classmate has space for a maximum of nine photos.)

Note:   EACH CLASSMATE CAN HAVE A MAXIMUM OF NINE PHOTOS. I've coded it so you CAN "pop-up" ALL enlargements for ALL photos (for ALL classmates, not just one), so you needn't close the photos you've reviewed for one classmate before moving on to the next. Thus, after reviewing them all, you can close some and review your favorite photos together (no matter which classmate created them).

2. ABOUT COPYRIGHT NOTICE
The classmates submitting photos for display in their personal sub-section of this Scenic Snapshots section retain full copyright for their own photos, giving permission to display them here on the BHS-57 web site. The photos are displayed on this web site in a low resolution, unsuitable for printing.

Note: If you want to purchase a print of a photo, contact the classmate-photographer using their email address link given on their Thumbnails page. Also, the URL of any photography web site the classmate-photographer may have can be included on their Thumbnails page.

3. THUMBNAILS AND ENLARGEMENTS
Snowy Tree All thumbnails will be horizontal - like the example at the left. CLICK THIS THUMBNAIL to see an example of an enlarged photo (with text information) in a pop-up window.

Your enlarged photo orientation shown in a pop-up window may be horizontal or vertical. A photo title and informative text may be included. (Vertical enlargements may be seen in David Crook's and Darla Mesford O'Malley's sections.)

The BHS-57 Webmaster will make all the thumbnails and enlargements in the correct size and orientation needed for this web site; in doing so, the photos may be cropped or reduced a bit to fit space. Please supply any photo title and/or informative text you'd like included in your pop-up; that text may be edited a bit to fit space.

4. HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS
BEFORE you send your photos, please first send email to Marilyn, alerting her to expect photos to come. To avoid extremely long downloads at Marilyn's end (on her slow dialup access), JPG sizes for each photo (and number of photos) should be discussed in email before emailing ANY photos to Marilyn.

Remember when submitting photos for this section, indicate when and where they were taken. Think what else you'd like to share in the pop-up page for each photo.

You can submit your snapshots in one of two ways:
  1. Preferred submission method:   You can email a JPG (preferably 150 or 96 dpi) in a maximum size of about 450 pixels by 350 pixels (somewhere under 100 KB in file size). Be sure to email the JPG (either the .jpeg or .jpg file format is acceptable) as an "attached" file. Do NOT "embed" the photo in the email message itself. The email's Subject line should include "For the BHS-57 Scenic Snapshot section." That Subject is automatically entered for you if you use the "email" link in this paragraph.

For faster downloading at Marilyn's end, please email a maximum of three photos per day.

  2. Alternate submission method:   You can "snail mail" good color copies of your snapshots (or copies of the actual snapshots) to:

    Marilyn Coughran
    P.O. Box 1553
    Green Valley, AZ 85622-1553

Marilyn will scan your snapshots and create the JPGs. If this method is used, please FIRST send an email to tell Marilyn to expect postal-mailed photos rather than emailed photos. (She doesn't drive acoss town to the post office unless expecting to receive something there.) If your postmaster can tell you the approximate day they will arrive in southern AZ, that info will be helpful to share with Marilyn.

Note: If you want the color copies or the actual snapshots returned, you must include an SASE (Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope). If your SASE is not included, the photos will not be returned.

Whether emailed or postal mailed, be sure to indicate at least a brief description of each snapshot (what it is, when and where it was taken) and your name. (Female BHS-57 classmates with married names should include their maiden names.)

Thanks for sharing your photos with classmates who view this Scenic Snapshots section. The more participation we'll have by various classmates over time, the nicer this section will be.
