Following contract agreement with the client, her initial web site tasks normally include: overall graphics design or redesign of the client's web site creating graphics (logos, banners, navigation buttons) scanning photos, creating jpegs for thumbnails, enlargements coding HTML for unique web sites (rather than using software templates) coding JavaScript scripts for pop-up windows, date-time stamp, cookies. writing web content, proofing and editing client-supplied text creating a user interface (GUI and text links) for the web site testing every link in the web site In addition to the above basic web site creation services, her additional tasks may include: helping the client choose and register a unique domain name helping the client choose an ISP for hosting the web site uploading the web site into the client's domain web site updating or maintenance services training the client to perform web site updating or maintenance tasks
